I have got to get better with this garmin stuff. Last night I set up a workout that was supposed to be 60,50,40,30,20 sec sprints repeated three times with a short recovery in between each set but somehow I set it to not start the next sprint until my heart went back to 65bpm. Spent a good deal of time in the first bit of this trying to figure out how to fix it and then just gave up and finished the ride.

Oh I've so been there messing w a Garmin mid-workout then just giving up! Good job getting your ride done!

Ugh. Technology can be frustrating. It's supposed to make thing easier...! Hang in there!

Been there done that Ann. I have resolved to stop trying to get fancy with the programming on it and use it the old fashioned way for the most part. Nice ride today!

Do you set up the workouts on your computer? Because when I have done that on my 305 it has option for when to end the current "step" and you just want to make sure you haven't selected something like the heart rate or whatever. Still looks like a good workout.

Sheila it does but I screwed up. I hit the told it to not start it until I went down to 65bpm instead of 65% of mhr. It was just a stupid mistake but it threw off the whole ride. I couldn't believe how cranky it made me.

I understand. BTDT. I've only used that feature generally for speedworkouts and since the GPS isn't 100% accurate, I stopped using it for that and just hit the lap button instead. I know 400m on the track by the markings. Haha.

I do that for my runs. The bike is harder because he schedules these really short sprints and I lose track.

"He"? You've got a coach? I can totally see losing track. I'm terrible at that kind of stuff. I have not yet started doing sprints on the bike, although I've thought about it recently. I'm sure I need to start doing that.

Sheila, I use Jeff over at PRSfit and I love him. He is really reasonable and saved my butt when I was out for so long with the foot. With his help I didn't lose fitness at all. And he is really great with the workouts. He mixes things up for me and works my butt off.
