    good 16.47 km

Lovely bike ride along the dyke to the beach, then a great afternoon there! A few of our very large group didn't ride, so all our cars got moved from the meeting point to the beach and saved u... read more

  2. RUN
    Sunshine and ocean 7 km

Out of shape. That is all.

  3. RUN
blah Wow that race sucked 11 km

I've always said that I've had many (many many) results I've been unhappy with, but I've never regretted a run or race. Until today. Holy crap, worst run ever.
Firstly I was sic... read more

That sounds bad. The RD needs to know this stuff or it will be the same next year for others too. Not complaining, call it 'feedback'.

ohwow. that sounds AWFUL. I am happy you were not raped or murdered or left for dead somewhere on the route. sounds like should write them a nasty letter about this race and then warn everyone you know never to run it. or at least look forward to another race next month, if you're not into letter writing drama. ;)

  4. RUN
    tired Cloverdale 5.26 km 00:38 11:37 pace

Really really REALLY wanted to nap when the small one was napping today. Instead I realized I have a half coming up in less than two months and I've really gotta get my ass in gear. So out the... read more

  5. RUN
    Shamrock'n Run 7 mi 01:24 11:57 pace

Longest race to date. Didn't go too badly, especially considering I've only run once since my last race three weeks ago.
Didn't have any great moments, but I also didn't have an... read more

  6. RUN
    blah Indoor track 4 km

Trying out new shoes (Hoka Clifton)....not sure I like them. Leg pain, shin pain, foot fatigue. All within the first km and didn't ease up in the next three.

  7. FIT
    Horseback trail ride 01:30

Had a day with my mom....trail ride through Golden Ears Park. Lovely day, nice and warm and sunny. Wound up on a standardbred though, which meant I was bouncing around like crazy and using every mu... read more

  8. All right. Registered myself for a half at the end of May. And this time, I won't get pregnant halfway through training lol.

  9. RUN
    good Langley Historic Half - 10k 10 km 01:13 11:49 pace

Set my goal of one race per month, and February's was done today. Two down, ten to go!
The first 5k was AWESOME. Hit a comfortable stride right away, which for me is unusual since the first 1-... read more

Adjusted my time, I'm feeling much happier now that chip time is available....six and a half minutes off the gun time I posted originally :) So even with all the walking to keep from wetting my pants, I wasn't too far off my expected (out of shape) time! Woohoo!

  10. Shared Photo

Had to share the incredible sky this morning. Certainly made getting out the door early easier :)

  11. RUN
Same route as last week 7 km 00:49 11:13 pace

Did some uphill sprints this week. Didn't die. Beat last week's time on the same route by several minutes, so I'm very happy!

  12. walk
    Stanley Park 4 km

Spent a nice afternoon with the husband and the smallest boy, walking along the seawall and the beach.

  13. RUN
Wet wet wet 7 km 00:52 12:03 pace

Exceptionally wet and exceptional slow. But I pulled off 7kms without wanting to die, which is better than I've managed in a good while. So I call that a good run :) I did walk all the uphills... read more

  14. RUN
    First race of 2015 5 km 00:36 11:28 pace

About 5 minutes slower than I would've done before Finn, BUT also about 5 minutes faster than I expected to be today. And a good reminder of how much I like races! Now to prep for next months ... read more

it sounds like you had a good time on the mill and made the most of the time you had to use it, so that's a win, if you ask me!

Slowly. It went slowly. But a run is a run, and I'm happy :)

  18. swim
In the pool with baby 02:00

Not actual swimming, but 2 hours of walking the length of the pool, with lots of throwing a 25lb toddler in the air must count for a workout!

  19. Couldn't bring myself to register for a half quite yet, but I am now registered for my first 10k of year. 5k Jan 25, 10k Feb 22, and maybe I'll talk myself into the Shamrock half in March :)

  20. swim
