After the SportTracks elevation correction (which gets pretty close,) here's a snapshot of the Bobcat Trail Marathon's elevation profile.

RUN
good Bobcat Trail Marathon (shorte... 24.5 mi 06:19 15:28 pace
Due to course tampering, the distance of the marathon was shortened to 24.5 instead of 26.2. I was hoping for a sub-7 with the elevation gain at this race, and I would have made it ;-) Just a lit... read more

Nice Job! I also ran the race and had a fantastic time. I've already setup a yahoo calendar alert the day registration opens. The course was tampered with? Do you know where, what miles?

No I don't. We went back to our cottage so I could shower before our 3ish hour ride home, then back to the lodge for food. Vince told us then that the course was short, then the email came out that said "For those of you who wore Garmins, you will note that due to course tampering, the race was actually shorter than 2009 with a total of 24.5 miles."

It was a ton of fun. Even with the stealth four legged creature trying to trip me every quarter mile! Luau (my dark brown Chesapeake Bay Retriever) wanted to stop and sniff everything tonight. I keep him on a leash (he wouldn't go anywhere) because of the park rules.

alright Mingo Creek Park 7.11 mi 01:48 15:13 pace
The Cascadias are NOT MY TRAIL SHOE! I have to give up on trying.

My big toes rub on the side of the shoe, my knees and lower back hurt when I'm done. I've got 2 50K's and a few hundred miles on the 4's and 5's with the same results, yet I keep giving them another shot! I love my Adrenaline GTS shoes for the road--time to give the ASR's a try.

sounds like a good move. i love the cascadias but they are too narrow if I leave the factory sockliner in. once removed they fit perfect for me. good luck with the ASRs
