      Be careful out there! I came across a couple icy patches I gingerly walked across. Why did your trail shoes become uncomfortable?

      They are great for dirt trails, mud, running over rocks and roots and such. Neuse River Trail is actually asphalt, so that, along with the ice was the issue. Those shoes are stiffer with less cushioning.
