    Met the fellas' for an 8-miler. I was amazed at how great I feel just 6 days after the marathon. Timber drive really seemed hilly after running ATT. It's a beautiful day out there!

      Wow. I doubt if I could even walk for 2 weeks if I did a marathon lol. Let alone run again - good work !!

    What a great night weather wise! Did a warm-up mile, then sped up to just comfortably fast. Seemed effortless. I hope I feel just as good on Sunday. 9:30, 8:31, 8:18.

    Ran out 5 miles at under 9:00 min pace. Took a one minute walk break at the turn-around, and just cruised back at a leisurely pace. Garmin died on the way back in.

      Be careful out there! I came across a couple icy patches I gingerly walked across. Why did your trail shoes become uncomfortable?

      They are great for dirt trails, mud, running over rocks and roots and such. Neuse River Trail is actually asphalt, so that, along with the ice was the issue. Those shoes are stiffer with less cushioning.
