      That's odd, I can't believe you screwed up your stroke. Did you feel anything in your ankle at all, or were you perhaps thinking about it? Whatever it might've been, it won't last. Give it a few more sessions in the water Renee, I know your kick will be back! :)

      Thanks all - I was pretty down on Thursday. The ankle hadn't been hurting so I figured I should have been able to swim. Turns out that while I didn't feel pain while swimming, it's been hurting ever since. I have a feeling it was all about the ankle. I'm trying to back off and let things heal. I put the brace back on - but not the boot. I never asked the doc how severe the sprain was - Dr Google is 2 or 3. I go back in on the 20th. I really appreciate your supportive words!

      Good swim, Renee. When I hurt my ankle a couple years ago, I found that kicking was irritating. Have you tried a pull-bouy? Then you can really work on your stroke and not have to kick. Hope you have a speedy recovery!

    I decided to do a little speed work on the mill tonight. A mile warm up, four 1/4's at 7:30 pace with 1/4 recovery and a mile cool down. Felt pretty good.

      I have the worst time with headphones on the 'mill, which really stinks, because I feel like getting to listen to something should be one of the perks for enduring such drudgery!! I just ordered a pair of 'skull candy' ear buds. I'll give you a review soon. I don't get shocked, but one ear (if not both) often seems to short out. Could be due to my above average sweating skills though :) Regardless, great run today!

      I always get shocked on the treadmill. Not usually through the headphones, but whenever I touch the treadmill with my hands. It's so annoying!! I'm trying to avoid the treadmill as much as possible this year.

      Totally agree with you Renee! I had spam here, they advised me to contact Kelly, a man, DMer who I believe started DM, I could be wrong though, anyways, he removed the spam from my comments. I agree 100% this site needs way more security.
