As a point of reference, the lady marathoners were finishing up their race at 5:11 pace. My fastest mile ever, and it was only one, was 5:27.

6:06 for a DOWNHILL mile for me! Of course, Mary Keitany could use one of my shoes as a canoe!

5:11 pace and they make it looks like they're running at 7:00 min pace. Crazy.

Here's another point of reference: Your fastest mile beats mine by almost two minutes! :-) I was glad Shelane and Kara at least had each other to hug right after the race. I wanted to hug them too!

That was a great moment. I always feel that way after a race. Unfortunately, most of the strangers I hug don't share my sentiments. ;-)

I always hug (more like cling to) the person who pulls the stub off my race bib when I'm done. The old man who helped me after the marathon got an extremely prolonged hug!
