Glad you're feeling better! You did great! The same routes sometimes help me because I know the distances enough to know how hard I can push myself and still hold on. But new places give me new sights and sometimes I just want to see more. Play with it some. Next time you hit this route, listen to your legs and lungs and push until a stop sign or a tree. You'll amaze yourself. If you can push with cinder block legs, you have it in you.

It was 84 here today in Ohio, so I can only imagine how muggy it was down your way! Nice 5k tonight, Beverly :-)

Think of it as a recovery run. If you push yourself one day, sometimes your body doesn't respond as normal on the next run. You still put in miles.
