That's great Beth, glad to hear you are running again. So it was a tear? Yikes, that doesn't sound pleasant. You did the right thing by staying off of it. :)

How long have you had a kayak? And how often do you use it? Would love to start looking into procuring one...

First time in a kayak in 20 years...we rented and took a tour. However, seriously thinking that Michael and I may buy a couple next Spring (combined Mothers/Father Day gifts?) we enjoyed it so much. So much water around here, shame not to take advantage of it. DIdn't think it was such a great workout at first, but...we'll see how I feel tomorrow!

      Get Better:

Oh no! Did you really have to walk 7 miles back home with a stiff calf? Ugh. I hope this gets better for you quick! You're doing so well in your training, a minor set back shouldn't affect you too much. Thinking positive thoughts for you.

No, fortunately I woke Jason to come and pick me up. :) I couldn't have walked 50 yeards, let alone 7 miles. I did all the right things Sunday-kept it elevated, iced every hour. I felt so much better this morning that STOOPIDLY, I decided that in addition to lifting at the gym, I would try the elliptical. That lasted about 52 seconds, until I reinjured and hobbled into the locker room...

That does not sound fun. I'm so sorry. I've broken down and am going to see a sports medicine PT today. Fingers crossed that its nothing serious.
