      Aw Beth - I'm so sorry you had to go through surgery - but I'm guessing that will speed the healing process!! Hang in there - allow your body the time to recover - and you'll be back out there before you know it!! It definitely is a good thing you're in great shape - you're probably pretty speedy on the crutches!! :)))

      Hang in there Beth! Your "excuses" are legitimate things that could each individually ruin a run not to mention ALL of them! I especially like the too many glasses of wine.. I use that one a lot! :) You got the miles in, that's what counts.. those long ones aren't about speed, it's about getting in the miles however you can. Even with all your obstacles, you did great!

      No worries Beth, on a long run myself if I think my heart rate has climbed a bit to high I'll take a walk break for a minute or so to stabilise things.. No point killing yourself on training runs, we all started this cause we loved doing it.. Easy to forget that sometimes.

      Awesome run and workout today Beth! My suggestion for what it is worth, carry a small disposable bottle of Gatorade then drink the two bottles on your fuel belt at least until you around to buying a four bottle belt.
