  1. RUN
good Clevedon to Duders 21.14 km 01:51 08:24 pace

I'm sure someone made the route longer this week :)

Lots of people out this morning, there was a half iron man, and a local fun run-cycle-kayak-horse-ride event. Maybe next year.

good Clevedon to Duders 21.14 km 01:48 08:13 pace

Was a bit further than I expected but good to know I can still do a half. Lots of cyclists out this way too, friendlier than the ones in Albany, or maybe they're just not used to seeing runner... read more

This was a novelty, couldn't go this far on the flat in Albany :)

It seems I can either get flat roads, or staircases, not much in between (without a drive to get there). The main roads feel safer (traffic wise) than the Albany hills, so that's a plus :)

Knocked off a whole 7 seconds. I counted the steps this time, about 730 :)

  5. RUN
good Clevedon reserve 8.67 km 00:51 09:28 pace

My new local route (I've moved to Clevedon) with a nice 200m climb in the middle :)

Somehow, I don't think I'll be doing a 5 min km pace on this circuit.

  6. RUN
good Albany hills short loop 00:35

Just did a short hill run, rather than the usual long weekend run. Also did a couple hours easy walking, and legs starting to feel a bit better.

Nice run, good to hear the legs are feeling better. Clevedon, big move! Got your passport? Lol. Should be some nice running there - and horses!

Yeah, about as far away from my current place as I can get while still being in Auckland. Duders regional park is about 5 min drive away, nice running there; and no shortage of horses either. Apparently there's a run-swim-kayak-horseride event, maybe next year :)

alright Short Loop. Albany, Rosedale ... 6.92 km 00:39 08:57 pace

I needed a run, but my legs didn't want to, so compromised and went slow. Think i need new shoes, right knee seems to get a bit sore when i've worn them out.

  9. RUN
good Albany, Greenhithe 19.11 km 01:32 07:42 pace

That was a bit better. Started earlier in the morning when it wasn't so hot, and also had some fog to keep cool.

Didn't know if my legs could take it, but I made it. Strapped my legs up when I got home, and they're feeling much better today. Maybe just needed a longer run to straighten everything out.

  12. RUN

    That was hard work :)

Not your fastest on that loop, but at least you got it done. Still a good pace considering how little running you've done since Christmas, and great by my standards!!

There were great views of the peninsula, and the tops were really nice, but its hard to get photos to show how steep they were. My riding is better; and I've started to get an idea of what I need to work on. I think my riding instructor in Auckland wants me to enter some event this year, I'll see how I go, but it would be fun :)

Yeah, lots of leg and back, unfortunately not the same ones as for running, so I'm a bit sore, but fine once warmed up.
That would be one way of recording it, some days might look a bit odd going around and around in circles :)

Lake Hawea, would be a great place for a marathon if you liked hills. Saw a number of people cycling Haast Pass, think they were going as fast as me in the car, stuck behind a milk tanker :)
