    Did a 2-mile sprint at 18mph; I think that's my first sprinting of the season. Nice to feel that strong. Topped 1,000 miles today, for the first time since 1996. Also nice.

    had to take some detours because of the flooding; rode through water in one place; got onto South Cross Road right after a crew had cleared it.

    Chose a route on high ground. Flooding all around, but Squirrelville was in some weird weather pocket so that the whole day was dry roads and sunny skies.
