Thatched cottages and buttercup meadow in the warm Wiltshire sunshine. No more getting lost after this. It was all plain sailing from here.

good Lacock trails 13.5 mi

great Bad Behaviour 3.01 mi 00:20 06:42 pace
Not my usual kind of run. I felt like throwing caution to the wind for a change. Quite a buzz just to let go. Steady rain, 11°C and a bit gusty.

great Light of foot 3 mi
Barefoot and gadget-free on roads and pavement. A brisk pace. Massively enjoyable. Sunshine, a strong wind and 12°C outside - feels like a storms-a-comin'.

Here I am, overjoyed to have completed my second Neolithic Marathon. Certainly, the hours before and after were less joyful but this image, captured by a friend, has so much value in it.

tired Neolithic Marathon 26.07 mi 04:20 09:58 pace
Rough. More words later.
EDIT -- So, the day went not as I'd hoped. Lots of learnings to take away but, for now, I'll give a brief summary, hopefully without sounding like a moany git. In... read more- Show 20 more comments...

I can't imagine how cool it would be to run to Stonehenge. Wow! Ok, so you weren't able to better your time from last year's race, but this finish was an excellent time...especially considering you stopped for pictures, chatting, and maybe even a spot of tea, lol! The vomit is just part of the memories now. Great race!!!

You sure did well considering! I'm impressed. Too bad you didn't better your time, but not every race works out well. Congratulations!
