Sorry for the face...I ran with my "group" (dizziness, nausea, and humidity)...I sometimes hate the South...(well quite often actually)..humidity was unreasonable...my legs cramped, my head spun, and my breakfast almost reappeared...felt like a slug, pace shows it...I keep repeating to myself "Sweet, sweet Jesus, just keep me safe on this horrid, horrid, run...I realize this isn't a race...it's training"....Humdity: 1, Barbara: 0....sorry for the whine....I just struggled through to try and keep a 13 minute mile (which sucks)...but I tried to be a smart as I could.

Don't despair! This happens in these conditions. I almost puked after my 18 a few wks ago and got really dizzy today . Do you take Endurolytes or S-caps?

geesh Barbara sounded very rough!!! how long was it after you ate bfast?- drink enough last night? (water not wine dear) :P You have been doing killer work outs-- do you think it was just the heat or do you think you might have needed electrolytes? *HUGS* and feel better- you got it done!!!

You've just articulated what I have thought and felt so many times! I know that exact feeling, and I'm so sorry you went through it today. Sometimes, when I'm running, I actually think of my DM friends encouraging me. It helps. There's no other group that has quite the understanding. Do not beat yourself up about pace (although I know we all do). Sometimes, finishing is absolutely the most important thing. You did absolutely GREAT in my book! (((hugs)))

I ate about 45 minutes before, took in a coconut water (with sips of water in between) at mile 3-4...ate some goldfish crackers (to get some sodium and cards) at miles 4-5...I think it was the humidity...maybe I should've eaten a bit more...uggg...it was a horrible feeling!

P.S. Thanks my lovelies...I ALWAYS think of my DM'ers when I run..I truly believe it kept my going today..I am not a quitter...so that wasn't an option..slowing down maybe, quitting - ain't gonna' happen!

Barbara, you rock! You have been doing some incredible workouts. Sometimes the heat/humidity are stronger. Come Fall, the fact that you pushed through is going to reap mega benefits!

This is brutal weather to run, but keep it up and when the cooler weather returns the benefit of our suffering will appear, I hope.
