  7. RUN
    Saturday meander 12.49 mi 01:51 08:52 pace

I went to my regular physio and she thinks it is a glute issue not ITB. More exercises but at least I am allowed to run (provided there is no pain),

Way to ease back into it gently! 12 miles at that pace is a crazy comeback. How did you pull up?

Bang on Gary, if your glutes are over fatigued and stressed other muscles will compensate for their failure to work properly, quads, hamstrings, knees, groin area, ITB, lower back and my main problem the hip flexors, all because of the glutes not being strong enough, Work on strengthening your glutes and roller and stretch often thats was my treatment

The physio exercises I have been given take longer than the run :(

  9. RUN
second test run 14.81 mi 02:10 08:45 pace

Felt better today although the legs did feel a bit tired. One twinge but once I shortened my stride it seemed to help

Sounds better, a good paced run, I have to keep my stride short or I end up with a strain too, just dont take the risk as your so near race time
