"Ask yourself: 'Can I give more?'. The answer should usually be : 'Yes'."
The plan today was to run 1 min, 2 min, 3 min, 4 min and 5 min (two sets) of strides running with a 30 seconds recovery in between. Due to the habitual late comers the start was delayed to 5.30 am (as against 5.00 am). So we could only do one set of the strides and by 6.00 am the grounds were taken over by the YMCA students.
So, this quote came to the rescue. As a group we wanted to run more because it was only 6.00 am. Many fizzled out to play shuttle, whereas 5 of us went for yet another long run of about 8.5 kms.
The route was truly reflective of the current divide between the indian rich and poor. On one side of the route people were using the sideways for their morning duties and on the other side were acres of green lush GOLF COURTS.
The long run was initially a slow chatty run for about half an hour. After this the tempo was upped to finish the run by 7:15 am. Good rounds of stretching was done in between and finished the workouts with some cool glucose drinks.

Great run Bala. How diff will the pace be for each of the runs? Will the 1 min run be much faster in comparison to the 3 mins run?
My calfs are still tight, so just cannot think of a Fast pace run. :).
