      You will get your speed back but you might not notice it until your all done training. Or close to done. That's what happened to me at least :)

      Nice job!! Over 5k is when it actually starts to feel good. I've noticed if I go numb it's because my laces are too tight.

      I would agree about the laces...or maybe you're landing oddly on your foot? Change of terrain? Uneven surface?

      new shoes? I've had toes go numb when I've got em laced too tight. usually when they're new and you're lacing them up the first few times
