      My dad's been a runner for years (with plenty of breaks when he wasn't running) & when I first started he told me, if I stopped, it would be easier to start again than starting the first time. Good for you!

      Thanks, lol. All credit goes to my boyfriend though, he's the one who convinced me to toss the scale and stop weighing myself daily and he's the one that said to try to work on speed right now, even if I beat my last time by a second. When I tossed the scale it left me with only one thing to "obsess" about...timing. Lol

      Good for you, tossing that scale! That's great. If you're running a few times a week, chances are you're going to be pretty fit...regardless of the number on the scale. Also, I haven't lost much at all since I started running, but I've gained muscle. So my body looks different at this weight than it did when I wasn't as fit.

      Thanks Beth! I'm still forcing myself to go slow, my legs still seem to want to go fast but my lungs just can't handle much faster right now. Doesn't help that I've let the core exercises slack but this moving thing is really taking a toll on me!

    This was supposed to be a 3 mile run.... not 1/10 of a mile into it though and I knew I'd be walking. It was a nice walk, I tried to push myself to run and just wasn't feeling it today. blah.
