  1. RUN
    5.2 mi 00:50 09:36 pace

With a 'feels like 3' and a dusting of snow on the ground, I opted for the treadmill. As much as I'd rather run outside, 5 miles of not freezing while watching HGTV wasn't so b... read more

  2. RUN
    3.17 mi 00:31 09:41 pace

SHIT that was cold! I could have definitely used another layer on my upper body. Legs, hands, feet, ears, all felt fine. But my stomach was bright red and itchy after it regained some feeling!!

Brrrrrr!! We will have "feels like 20" tomorrow. I hate it. I need to move further south!

  3. RUN
    2 mi 00:19 09:30 pace

An easy 2 on the treadmill to test out the legs. They felt pretty good!

  4. RUN
Gobbler Grind Half Marathon 13.1 mi 02:04 09:28 pace

This race felt so much better than my last one. Less hills and no stomach problems definitely had something to do with it! Hung back for the first 6 miles with a friend, and when she really neede... read more

  5. RUN
    10.11 mi 01:49 10:44 pace

Ran with a friend bright and early. I let her set the pace, having a buddy and going pretty slow made for an easy ten miles.

  6. RUN
    4.22 mi 00:42 09:58 pace

Was busy e-mailing at the beginning (on the treadmill) so I didn't start running for at least a third of a mile.

  7. RUN
    3.27 mi 00:32 09:51 pace

Didn't feel like pushing it this morning. And it is definitely getting chillier outside!

  8. RUN
    4.1 mi 00:40 09:52 pace

Didn't sleep well last night, and even though I didn't feel like I was dragging, apparently I was pretty slow.

  9. RUN
    9.05 mi 01:25 09:21 pace

Felt pretty good this morning, only the last two miles seemed to drag a bit.

  10. RUN
    4.02 mi 00:39 09:38 pace

Meh. I wanted to hit under a 9:30 pace but just couldn't quite push it there.

  11. RUN
    3.2 mi 00:30 09:30 pace

Legs were feeling slightly worse this morning. Not quite sure how to recover from one half while still maintaining for another in a few weeks!

I missed the post about the half! How far apart are the races?

I've got two weekends between the two, or three weeks I guess.

I have the same amount of time between my two marathons. My plan is to focus on recovery and not worry so much about maintaining. I don't think it is enough time to lose fitness. I will probably take about 5 days totally off after first one, get in two 8ish mile runs on the two weekends, and otherwise stick to really easy short runs. Focus on recovery with refueling, ice baths, Epsom salt baths, sleep, etc. Good luck!!!

  12. RUN
    4.6 mi 00:43 09:18 pace

Stuck on the treadmill. Was feeling pretty good, shooting for 5, but Elsie needed a diaper change before I could make it.

  13. RUN
    13.1 mi 02:05 09:32 pace

Probably the worst I've felt while doing a half, had to stop and go to the bathroom around mile 9. Probably should have done it earlier! But with less than stellar training and a bathroom br... read more
