  1. good 5.47 mi / 00:44 08:07 pace

I was supposed to race Red Top Rumble this morning and even throw in a preview loop of the course with Woody at like 5:30am. However, plans changed when my wife and I spent much of the night in the hospital with our little one who developed some kind o... read more

  2. good 7.5 mi / 01:01 08:04 pace

Last run was on Monday (I know, don't ask), so this felt great to get outside and air out the legs. Lilly needed it too. Cold and drizzly, but who cares.

  3. Shared Photo

I didn't finish the run, so I missed the climb up Standing Indian Mountain. But here's the view from the top with Doug and Woody just chillin', literally.

Me on one of the foot bridges we crossed.

  5. Shared Photo

Sharing a few pics from this past Sunday's run in the snow covered trails at the Nantahla Forest in NC. Here's all four of us before the run started.

  6. good 3.75 mi / 00:31 08:13 pace

Easy, short one w/Lilly around the neighborhood on a cool, but sunny afternoon. Hard to believe I was running in 4" of snow yesterday in NC.

  7. blah 12 mi

I had high hopes for today's run for Doug's b-day. Ran the Park Creek and Park Ridge trails in the Nantahala Forest. Absolutely stunning day with snow on the trail and bright blue sunny skies. Unfortunately, I wasn't with it today. I kept lagging behin... read more

They can't all be good days. Still 20 miles and 5,500 feet is not a bad Sunday! :)

Travis and Jessica, I ran 12. They did the 20 with the climb. Another day it will be for me. I tell ya what though, it was beautiful with the snow. Wait until I post a couple of photos, if Doug hurries and gets them on-line.

Kim, Sure. I'll let you know next time. Great trails.

  8. good 4 mi / 00:33 08:15 pace

Post-ride run. Haven't done a brick in forever. My toes were frozen from the ride.

  9. good 10.7 mi

Easy first ride of season w/Team In Training gang. Cold and wet but good to get it in. Hey, if you'd like to contribute to my fundraising, visit www.tinyurl.com/javisride I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

  10. good 6.5 mi / 01:03 09:41 pace

Fun headlamp trail run w/Doug, @haywoody and Lilly. Neat sunrise over the lake too.

Thanks everyone! I actually prefer mid-morning runs but work kinda gets in the way. Good about early morning runs is having the rest of the day ahead of you.
