    After a summer off, I started running again a few weeks ago. Slowly building back up to 10K.

    First run in several weeks. Hot, sunny day, so couldn't resist lacing on the sneakers.

    I've finally managed to push myself back up to speed. Almost convinced I'll manage the 10K without stopping!

      Sometimes it is a good strategy to slow to a walk in and out of the water stations.

      Well, there's one water station at the 5K mark, so I'm sure I'll appreciate the excuse to slow down for a bit. Right after that is the only "hill" as we go up a ramp to cross the locks.

    I was really moving today, and took several minutes off of Tuesday's pace! Good to know keeping up with the training is paying off.

    Training is feeling better & better these days. I'm already to the point of breezing through the first 30 min. Wouldn't have thought that possible two months ago!

      It is almost amazing how one can transition from barely able to run a few minutes before resorting to walking, to a half hour of steady running feeling like nothing. Just a bit of consistent effort required. A general life lesson, that is.

    Realized I have to change my training schedule. Running only 12 hrs after fencing just isn't gonna work. Legs gave out on me!

    Very cold & windy today. Made for a tough run. After a grueling fencing practice last night, I was beat by the end of this one!

    I was booking it on the last half km or so of this run! Beautiful day, great workout. Not quite to my goal distance of 5K this week, but reached my goal time of 30 min. straight running.

    It was a great run today. The last hill didn't barely phase me. Almost up to a 5K!
