great OMG It's Early Speedwork 8 mi 01:14 09:17 pace

This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm choosing to keep my standing OMG It's Early meetup with my running peeps, but that means speedwork on a hilly route playing leap frog with them. Today's workout was 12x400m w/ 400m recovery. I'll let you pick where the up and down hills were - 7:23, 7:43, 8:17, 7:02, 7:27, 8:04, 6:45, 7:06, 8:12, 7:41, 7:10, 7:27. I'm hoping that doing my speedwork on the road will help keep my ITB quiet. I'm sure adding in the hills will make it more successful. I tried to run them based on effort more than pace. Programming my watch for intervals worked well, just listen for the beeps.

Nice work. I hope we both get light winters. March will be here before we know it

Yeah, it was 34 and windy this morning. Not too bad. I'm just hoping that the roads stay runnable.

Thanks Lisa! I was thinking of you and Brian and your light poles during my 1/4 mile repeats. It seemed similar to me and made me smile.

Ah, the choice of hills happened by default. I can't drag myself out of bed to get to the gym early, but if I know I'm meeting my friends for a run, I have no problem. Weird? Plus, it was really nice not stressing over it all day.
