Peanut butter and chocolate...I don't think you are the only girl out there who can call them your nemesis! Yummo! Congrats on getting those legs moving today! Definitely be sure not to "push it" too much this week, or "try to make up" for last week. Some nice easy runs to keep those legs moving and "fresh" for Saturday! Woo Hoo!!! Race day is almost here!

Thanks Krissie :-) It is only a "fun run" anyway so the pressure is not on at all. But I was training for it as if it was serious business and kind of wanted to come out knowing I did my best, but who knows, maybe the break will prove to be a good thing :-) I plan on running this week as soon as my stomach allows!

It's just my foot rearing it's ugly head again. It's nagged me ever since I broke it 5 1/2 years ago. Frankly I am surprised my 10k training has gone as well as it did and it's just now starting to act up! Time for new orthotics perhaps? My runners are new!

I've never used any gels. I really like the ClifShotBloks though. I've just heard that the gels can be icky. I have some, but haven't done a long training run since I got them.

What's funny about this is that the more I train for this, the more impressed I am with myself for my 2nd 5k time. I didn't train much at all for it and ended up with a 31:11 which I was very happy with - now I'm trying to work hard to match it! Another 25lbs to go and maybe that will be the difference!
