  1. RUN
good Grace Race 5K Route 3.1 mi 00:32 10:21 pace

I WILL get in more than 2 runs this week, dammit! I will!

  2. RUN
    good McLafferty/ Campus Lake 3.75 mi 00:41 10:51 pace

Big thunderstorms this morning so mid-day run. It's pleasant, but still a hot, sweaty run.

  3. RUN
good Grace Race Route 3.1 mi 00:34 10:50 pace

    Quick mid-day run.

  4. RUN
good Emerald to McLafferty 5.22 mi 00:57 10:56 pace

Hard to wake up this morning so proud of myself for getting vertical and running. I thought my pace was better, but I'll take it.

  5. RUN
    good McLafferty/Campus Lake 3.93 mi 00:41 10:25 pace

Still trying to get back into the swing of things. It was in the 60s this morning so I couldn't pass up a chance to run in non-sweltering weather.

  6. #dailymission: It is a necessity for me. I stay at home with my two kids most of the time so it is the only way I can get my run in.

  7. RUN
    good McLafferty/Campus Lake 3.75 mi 00:42 11:06 pace

Trying to get back into a routine after a trip to Costa Rica. It is HOT! I'm not sure I have ever been this sweaty.

  8. RUN
good Oakland Cemetery Run 4 mi 00:43 10:52 pace

Decent run. Tired legs after yesterday. There is something motivating about starting the day running around a cemetery.

  9. RUN
    good Pleasant Hill 6+ 6.74 mi 01:17 11:25 pace

A longish run without my Sunday cohorts.I find I get squirrly around mile 4. I suffered through the rest due to the heat and humidity. I need to buy a fuel belt. Any suggestions?

Nice run. I like my Fuel Belt but I recommend getting the adjustable one. When I bought mine it fit, then I lost weight and it was too loose. Mine holds 4 bottles and came with a small pouch. I added a larger pouch for holding my phone and Gu.

Depends on what your goals are! I considered a fuel belt, but even the 4 bottle only held 40 oz and I would have had to stash water on longer runs (parks otu here have no water fountains- what's up with that?). Just bought a camelbak with 100 oz capacity. Should keep me hydrated for a while. Beautiful run today!

Nice job! I like a handheld much better than the belt. Too much bobbling.

  10. RUN
    alright Campus 5K 3.11 mi 00:33 10:28 pace

Worked on my root chakra in yoga last night. It is alive and well this morning . . . boy, did I feel rooted to the earth! Surprisingly good time, but we just didn't have the energy to get thro... read more

  11. FIT
    great Root Chakra Vinyasa 01:30

Continuing the chakra series . . . focused on the one that roots you to the earth so lots of hip openers, floor work, lunges. I was surprisingly sore this morning. Oh, my aching glutes!

  12. VELO
    great Route 13 Scramble 11.72 mi 01:00 11.7mph pace

Coming out of a grading fog . . . hello world! It is a bright, clear, cool morning. I wish I could record smells somehow. This morning smelled of honey suckle. And, we heard a rooster.

  13. RUN
good Grace Race 5K Route 3.1 mi 00:32 10:23 pace

Quick run this morning before my youngest wakes up. I thought I had a 5K PR, but, alas, no. Close. And, not bad for the morning after a longer run. Now, back to . . . grading. :)

  14. RUN
    great Crab Orchard 7 7.08 mi 01:17 10:48 pace

Great long-ish run with my 2 Sunday long run partners. It's been quite some time since we all ran together. We got caught up and had a great run. Now, more grading . . . sigh.

  15. VELO
    good Route 13 Scramble 11.72 mi 00:58 12.1mph pace

Rainy chilly morning and not feeling great physically so I opted for a bike ride instead of a run. Glad I went! Now I have another marathon to complete . . . grading 50 essay exams and 17 papers.

  16. RUN
alright Slog and sweat 4.85 mi 00:52 10:45 pace

Later start than usual so it was already steamy. What happened to spring? I am trying to keep my feet light but gravity seems to love me. Despite all this, I managed to keep it under 11.

  17. FIT
    good Chakra Vinyasa 01:30

Very fast paced practice. Took a bit to get used to but I enjoyed it.
