Considering it has been over 20 days since my last run I felt really good. I had lost focus after my disappointing performance at an 8K in early September. It caused me to miss every goal I had set to challenge myself in September and ultimately the Montgomery Half Marathon that I had been training for since July.

I do want to thank my friends Carolyn, Ric, Tricia, Dixon and Lori for your encouragement during my self imposed break. I have no excuse for the many times I have looked at my running shoes on the floor and walked away or hit the snooze on the alarm. I just thank you for your understanding and the example you set by pressing on toward your goals. You guys ROCK!

Wow I was just looking at a sample chapter from the Running for God Bible study and training program and the verse for the devotion was Galatians 5:7-8, "You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion did not come from Him who calls you." NASB

    Coincidence? Me thinks not!
