Hey everyone, I know it has been a while since I have posted any of my workouts, but I just had to share this one with you. I ran my first full Marathon today. I can't believe it, when I woke up this morning I was just a runner, now I am a Marathoner and the feeling is amazing.
I had set my goal to finish in 5 hrs flat and it was going really well until mile 20, that's when the heat and humidity started taking its toll. I tried to hydrate as much as I could, but I started having leg cramps and real bad ones at that. I knew I had to abandon my goal of finishing in 5 hours and back way off and just try to finish. The heat and humidity was brutal today, as all those who ran today know. I changed my interval times and just tried to take it really easy the last 10k and at that point I was happy to finish in the time that I did. I am not going to complain about the time, besides it would make it much easier to PR in the next one lol.
