Today's workout was a 20-minute warm-up, then 6 x 100m strides followed by 2 x 3 mile @ marathon pace with .5 mile recovery jog in between on rolling terrain. This one was feeling rough from the get go. My stride felt choppy and forced, and my whole body felt tight and heavy. I was having a hard time finding marathon pace and ended up a bit slow over the rolling terrain. Finally about mile 10 or so it felt like I was warmed up and loose and my legs started to move. I think my warm down miles were faster with less effort than some of my pace miles. As a plus, I'm coming off of this workout feeling fresher than when I started instead of more beat up.

Nice stridin' Andy!!

Yeah, takes me a while to get loose during marathon training. This is still a very solid workout.

Usually that would drive me nutty too, but I was so distracted this morning that I didn't even notice until you brought it up. Now it's gonna bug me!
