  1. RUN
great Cold Miles 3.12 mi 00:36 11:35 pace

First run in two weeks. Glad I still have it, even in the cold. Merry Xmas to all who celebrate; and happy egg rolls to fellow members of the tribe. :-)

  2. RUN
Running with my youngest 0.95 mi 00:14:54 15:41 pace

Once she found out that it was a mile warm up, not 2 miler, all was well with the world; she even wanted to go all the way to the pivot point (a waterfall) rather than head back earlier. I am so ... read more

good SMAC Noho XC 5K 3.1 mi 00:35 11:11 pace

Another good race. Getting closer to my PR of last year. Hope to beat it!

  4. RUN
    good 4.01 mi 00:49 12:18 pace

As per Michael O. 's advice, I ran for distance, rather than speed. First time running near the beach without setting foot on the boardwalk. It's so hard not to race on the boardwalk, wh... read more

Distance over speed is the key! After you get that wired you run for time and not distance.

Quick run with my middle daug... 1.01 mi 00:14:41 14:32 pace

It was a nice mile, which is just her speed. I'm so glad she wanted to get out of the house to run!

  6. RUN
good SMAC Noho XC 5K 3.1 mi 00:35 11:26 pace

Not too hot, and really quite a nice run.

  7. RUN
    great 1 mile loop 1.17 mi 00:13:00 11:06 pace

Ran with my girls for a mile, and then went out again for a quicky while everyone else was in the local wading pool.

  8. RUN
great Around the track... 2.09 mi 00:25 12:01 pace

Running with my girls. Really hot, and glad that they were game.

  9. RUN
great SMAC Noho XC 5K 3.1 mi 00:36 11:31 pace

Really hot. Had to come to grips with the fact that I might not beat my estimated time of 36 minutes. Like psyching oneself out. Thankfully I beat it by 15 seconds.

  10. RUN
good Bike Path run with a friend 2.2 mi 00:27 12:08 pace

A good run with a friend. Connecticut River is beautiful in the morning!

  11. RUN
great Quick run after school 1.28 mi 00:13:23 10:27 pace

Short run in the rain. Same quick route, but I tried out interval training. Two 1/4 mile sprints, plus my traditional push it at the end. My base pace is slowly creeping down.

Quick run before picking up g... 1.23 mi 00:13:17 10:47 pace

    Every little bit helps, right?

  13. RUN
    SMAC Noho XC 5K 3.1 mi 00:35 11:09 pace

Slowly shaving off a little bit each time

  14. RUN
    Quabbin 3.13 mi 00:41 12:58 pace

My eldest joined me for the first 1/2 mile across a field, and another 1/2 mile towards the end. What an amazing day for a run!

  15. RUN
    great 1.5 mi 00:17 11:01 pace

Quick out and back, because it was too cold yesterday to run the XC race.

  16. RUN
good Quick up and back 1.22 mi 00:13:18 10:54 pace

Push it hard, even though it was only a little over a mile. I hope to build a small base, and be able to run further in the 15 minutes I have at the end of the day!

  17. RUN
good SMAC Noho XC 5K 3.1 mi 00:37 11:56 pace

It was hard! Very windy, too. But I made it through!

  18. RUN
Quick up and back 1.22 mi 00:14:14 11:39 pace

Thinking about those in Boston- and a wish for complete healing for all.

Not much time between end of school and picking up my girls, so I did a quick out and back- with leggings this time.

  19. RUN
Pick up the car 1.64 mi 00:19 11:42 pace

Running without leggings isn't such a great idea--thankfully my skirt didn't blow up! A slow going run, as would be expected.

  20. RUN
good Westville Roundabout 4 mi 00:52 12:59 pace

A nice tour of Westville. After all that Matzah, meals and sweets, it's good to get out there!
