Outside temp 72F. Pool temp: friggin freezin. This would be a good thing. After awhile it was delightful.

It's been 2 weeks since my last swim, and my first since my fall. So, I was worried how this would feel. Didn't feel so hot to start. And, yes, my back and butt hurt on every turn there pretty badly at the beginning. After awhile it got better, went numb, or I just sucked it up. Idk.

Didn't feel all that great at first. Just got in a groove and kept on. Had lots to think about. Anniversarying something crappy that had lots of thought swirling in my head. Thank God for black line therapy. After awhile I just zoned out. No thoughts. Just being alive.

Felt good after about 3000 yards. Normally would have to get out of the pool for open swim at this point, but nobody showed up. So, I kept going. I was the only one in the pool. Even the guards went in the guard house and let me be. Honestly, I could have kept going. But, eventually called it a day.

Finished it up with a 200 IM, ala Jeremy H.

6000 yards. My longest swim since, well, I guess I was 18. How you like them apples, J-man?
