Jan, I messed my knee up royally. I'm flat footed which was causing my knee to roll inward. The increase in activity paired with the rolling of my kneecap caused some ligament strain from my foot all the way into my hip. I'm in PT with a new modified workout for the gym and doing some tape for arch support. Even though I was doing great at increasing activity my joints, muscles, and ligaments weren't being conditioned enough to handle the range of motion so now I've got some niffy stretches to do. :)

I'd love to know more about this. Is the IIC something your gym does as an activity from time to time? Or do they have a training program & then one big event? And the big question about any tri - what are the 3 distances? And do they time your "transitions" between the 3 sports? Do tell!

Yeah, I had to modify a few steps for my knee but I'm trying to branch out of my bike,TM, swim cycle. I'm getting bored in the gym. Discovered lunges and squats are not my friend though-especially on a step.
