Good job getting out anyway! The hot runs are the hardest ones for me and the biggest fight is convincing myself to start them!

Good going, Andrea! My running-in-the-heat mantra tonight was: "Stay strong, drink water." Figures that I'd finally get back into running when the weather turns back to real summer temps and humidity! LOL

  2. RUN
    Part 2: Greenbelt 9.9 mi

Finishing the miles with Dondi. Remembering to pack sunscreen doesn't actually prevent sunburns. You have to put it on. 2 more snakes and 2 great blue herons.

  3. RUN
good Part 1: Dry Creek 14.13 mi

Part 1 of a nice outing with Dondi. More water than there had been due to recent rains - yay! Also, spotted 2 snakes, a nice hawk, and red trout. 2326'

  4. RUN
    great Lovely trails! 10.1 mi

Great outing with Joyce and Lori. Cloud cover and trails, I love you!

  5. RUN
good Brave Girl 8.12 mi 01:30 11:05 pace

Legs were lead. Hot sweatfest. Ran past the corner where a dog attacked me several years ago - first time past there since.

  6. RUN
good Long on the track 20 mi 03:40 11:00 pace

Had to run solo today so for safety's sake, hit the track...around and around. The pace isn't where it needs to be. 90 oz of water (ran out) and 700 calories of Tailwind.

  7. RUN
good Pole Cat - new access 5.15 mi

Hot but good run with Lori. Used the new access point, but made a wrong turn so ended up short on miles. Oh well, we weren't going back out :)

  8. RUN
    great Monday hills 7.1 mi

Nice outing with Dondi, Joyce and Lori. Perhaps a bit faster than necessary towards the end, especially with the heat, but we didn't die so it's all good.

  9. RUN
blah Slow, humid & sad 10.1 mi

This run was for my Dad and his pup. Blondie, a.k.a. my little sister, was a faithful friend to him for 12 years, and crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. Poor Dad :'-(

  10. VELO
Relentless Forward Progress 21.6 mi 01:00 21.6mph pace

Reading session on the bike. Pouring sweat so hopefully this equates to 5-6 miles of road running. Good book so far.

  11. RUN
    great Seaman's Gulch 12.21 mi

Nice outing with Lori and Joyce. Hot out.

  12. RUN
    alright Eh 3 mi

Just a little something to start the day. Also, I felt the need to 'exercise' so I could walk into work in my work out clothes...and had to do that since our hot water heaters both went ... read more

  13. VELO
good Seahorse ride 11 mi 00:31 21.6mph pace

    Good show on Nat Geo.

  14. RUN
    good Hot 3.84 mi

Seriously done with this heat! And this shouldn't really count - some running, followed by the gelato shop and back. Yeah, that's how I roll. And probably WHY I roll, but ... read more

LOL - still counts in my book! And so with you on the heat, too!

  15. RUN
great Freddies and back 13.42 mi 02:22 10:34 pace

Started off rough w/body saying no, then thought about 3 friends that did a really tough 50k yesterday, & several friends running the Eugene 1/2 & full today. I have no reason to whine, so ... read more

  16. RUN
good Track and Greenbelt Combo 20.3 mi 04:14 12:30 pace

Met Francie at her house at 4:30 (!!!) to run 1.5 to the track, then around and around, and then at 10 miles we did a bit more road to catch the greenbelt. Nice and cool. That many miles on a tra... read more

  17. RUN
    good Hills 6.43 mi

Foot wasn't that bad - maybe because I've scheduled a PT appt for Wednesday? We walked the whole up, then ran easy the whole down (Lori is tapering for a race this weekend).
