great Foothills and cheering 9.31 mi

Met Lori at 6am for some miles in the foothills (8.45, 1473'), then drove over to the finish line of a half mary that Francie was doing. Got to cheer her over the finish line as she totally k... read more

good City in the dark 11 mi 02:07 11:32 pace

Up at 3:15 to run. Cut it 2 miles short as my headlamp had died, I was starving, and I really needed a bathroom! Good enough. 72 degrees. 559'

great Bogus and Mores Mtns 10 mi

1483'. Gorgeous outing with Joyce and Lori. They are still tired from the last race. Not understanding that. Saw a hawk close up, grouse, tons of lupine.

  4. RUN
    good Greenbelt 4.13 mi

94 with a feels like of 96 so a bit of a suckfest. 1/2 mile walk, stopped to talk to a work friend bike commuting home, ran almost the rest, stopped to talk to another friend I haven't seen i... read more

  5. RUN
    great Greenbelt 13 mi

Met Francie at 6:30 for a nice run. She's still really tired so there was walking in there. Tried a new skirt from SportsSkirts. Works well for running.

  6. RUN
    good Foothills 8.37 mi

Slow one with Lori. She's still tired, as are the other girls. I need to remember they are older than I am so it's reasonable to take longer to recover. 1146'

LOL on the recovery comment! Lately I am the older one out of all my running friends and I can so relate to that.

    great Greenbelt 3.75 mi

Met Lori for a run, but she was up for a walk. Then we met Joyce, Francie, Jenny and Mary to cheer Mary up (she's been hurt). J & F are also still tired. Weird. Also stairs.

  8. RUN
good Taking it easy 3 mi

Greenbelt. 1 walk (15:02), 2 run (10:55, 10:39). Calves still a but sore but overall fine. I think that's an indication my tiredness from Saturday's race was more about lack of calories i... read more

There is a whole lotta awesome in this picture! Funny moment after the race...Joyce is in the food line still wearing her pack and carrying her drop bag in her free hand?!? I offered to take them from her and set it with everyone else's things and she said she was afraid she would tip over without the counterweight she had on her back all day, with a big laugh!!

    good Beaverhead 55k 34 mi 16:50 29:42 pace

Saturday I ran (hiked) the Beaverhead 55k. It’s out of Salmon, ID, along the Continental Divide. Short story: hardest thing ever. 34 miles, most around 8500-9500’ of elevation I think, about 6800’ ... read more

I hate to see the unhappy face there! Maybe this is one of those times to just relax and enjoy your weekend and not worry about miles. You've been training like a BEAST and the stairs have been a great addition to your workout routine to get stronger! I think you deserve a little R & R as a reward. :)
