Well it took me over an hour. I walked a quater mile than I would rest. The doctor said take it easy so that is what I did. Instead of going my pace, I went at the paace of my two year old.

Get Better:
Try some stretching and massage to reduce the soreness. Oh, and continue the walking... that helps as well.

Feel Better:
I sware by calcium at bedtime it is a natural anti inflamatory and helps w soreness. Good job at least your still moving and getting in distance.

I did about 10 pushup and 10 situps. I started a program that starts me out small and I can work my way up as I work On my running.

You are still faster. I thought once I hit the 2.5 marker I was going to die. I didn't think I was going to make it but I kept on pushing myself and I finished it. So now I'm ready to go to the St. Patrick's Day run.

Finishing it is all that matters. Once you have a time to beat, that gives you something to work on. You have a time to beat now; even if you cut 1 minute a week off of it, you're doing great.

Don't forget strength training. It really keeps you from getting injured. Core is uber-important.
