    Felt pretty good today. It was really nice tonight, hardly any wind which was great! Taking tomorrow off, 5k on Saturday, and will have to fit in another run on Sunday to keep up my weekly mileage.

      There was a sale, woohoo! Ended up getting a pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS 11 (an update to the pair I had) and a pair of Asics GT-2160, some new socks and a shirt. Excited about trying them out. The last couple of runs my left shin had started to bother me at around mile 3, so I knew it was time! ☺

      You are going to be amazed at how fast you will run in a race. It just happens. People around you. Adrenaline pumping. I do suggest that you take the racing in progression like it seems you are. 5K, 10K, then Half. I will send you a training plan that will get you ready to ultimately run the half, but will keep you kicking butt in the smaller races!!

      This is a very respectable run with a nice pace! You're doing great! The heart rate isn't an issue so long as you stay aware of it... In fact, pushing your upper limits a bit helps you develop your metabolism and strength. The hills are a great thing... they are tough on your energy levels but they build a good strong core! Nice Job!

      Thanks! I think my heart rate runs a little high even resting. So, just keeping an eye on how I am breathing helps me control it so it doesn't get too high. I have to work on getting more hills in, the race I am signed up is up hill the whole second mile. Thanks for the advice and encouragement! ☺
