I've been doing this for the last couple of weeks and feel great (running, not natural child-birth). Super easy, higher mileage, speed when I feel like it. It's a nice change of pace from the training plan I was on.
I do have a friend who has had several children naturally, I also have another friend whose mother is a midwife and who also birth naturally. I will try to send you their contact information. My mom, btw, had 12 children without meds.

I have "participated" in 3 natural childbirths with my wife. Sure, it was painful for her, but with the proper training/coaching you learn to deal with the pain (very similar to running) . Her recovery each time was very quick compared to those who have used medications. I would argue to anyone that a woman's body was designed to give child birth, don't try and mess with what God gave you!

Well for some reason my body was crazy sore and uncomfortable today so I decided to run/walk. I think I jumped into running too quick after such a yucky/hurty marathon! HAPPY ALMOST WEEKEND!

2 morathons a year is bogus. If you train smart you can easily do 3 or 4 solid races in a year. Good luck in june

Great Performance:
Allie...congrats on a super effort! Whereas I know it's not what you wanted, you excelled in different ways and tested, as you said, your mental fortitude, which is splendid. For what it's worth, I'd love to post that subject header one day.

Allie, it's been a while. So, what did you learn from this race? Start out slow and consciously save something for the latter parts of the race. Still, a really good time given that you really had to struggle the last 10 miles.

Last year, the weather was a big factor in times...it was one of the first really HOT days of the year, and as I recall, it was a very windy day, as well. Spring marathons are tricky to predict, weather-wise! Fortunately, I'm going into OKC without a time goal - I've heard the weather for that one is notoriously horrible and unpredictable. I have a time goal for a May HM in NYC and for a fall 26.2, instead. :) Best of luck to you!!!
