good Hill Repeats at CP West 7.55 mi 01:00 07:56 pace

Wanted to practice the climb to the hilltop in the first mile of the Corporate Challenge next month, so my hill repeats were on the west side of the park. Didn't know the distance, but after 2 repeats, I checked my watch and saw that it was .49. No wonder it felt so hard.

Focused on constant effort and turnover instead of trying to blast my way up the hill. The distance made and the inclines made it tough enough without me having to inject any speed. The workout laps went as follows:

1.78 mi to start point
#1 - .48 @ 2:59 + easy jog back on bridle path to start line
#2 - .49 @ 3:06 + easy jog back on bridle path to start line
#3 - .48 @ 3:02 + easy jog back on bridle path to start line
#4 - .48 @ 3:03 + easy jog back on bridle path to start line
2.33 mi jog home

I think the first was the hardest because it seemed to go forever. After that, it was mind over matter. Nice way to get jump back into training mode.
