Twenty miles is a good effort, regardless of your intent. I have been doing a five to six miler every week that is devoted to nothing more than "walking with purpose." I was officially moved from the Ulmstead waiting list to the list of runners this week. See you at the end of March.

Congrats on getting in! I'm still working on the walking part - hopefully this week I'll actually get some real walk training in, as part of my rest strategy :)

Like you, I don't really have any choice. Running a hundred miles requires a willingness to suffer, but it doesn't mean we have to suffer any more than is necessary.
