My mom and I grabbing a coffee after the race. She ran the 5K and won 2nd place in her age group. I got 4th in my age group, but had a great time!

  2. RUN
great Portland Half Marathon 13.13 mi 01:51 08:26 pace

Great race! I was nervous about this one, but it turned out great! I took it nice and easy for the first three miles, holding myself back when everyone else was pushing forward. Stuck with like 8:4... read more

  3. RUN
    good 5.03 mi 00:49 09:42 pace

Still feeling good, but definitely feeling pretty tight. Slow and steady tomorrow before the race.

  4. RUN
    good 5.04 mi 00:47 09:17 pace

Another good run in the books. Felt a little tight, definitely need to incorporate some dynamic warm-ups and more stretching. But, all around a good run and I am LOVING this cooler weather.

  5. RUN
    great 7.03 mi 01:03 08:55 pace

This run felt amazing. I think I've been doing so much better because I've been taking more care with fueling up before my runs. Switching to listening to podcasts has really helped too... read more

  6. RUN
    great 5.05 mi 00:46 09:07 pace

Great run! A great way to start off my training this week. I mixed up what I listened to while I was out - opting for a podcast about Roman History (#nerdalert) instead of the running playlist I ... read more

  7. RUN
    blah 3.59 mi 00:37 10:20 pace

Meant for this to be my long run, but halfway through I started to feel really sick. Called C to come pick me up (which I've never done before). SO glad this week is over so I can start trai... read more

  8. RUN
    good 3.99 mi 00:38 09:25 pace

Wanted to get some good mileage in this week, but I was just battling the humidity and the heat. Felt good to get out there, but I wish I would've gone longer.

  9. RUN
    alright 3.02 mi 00:34 11:24 pace

Seriously - this is so frustrating. I've got the half-marathon next in like 10 days and this weather is totally stifling my training. It messes with my head, makes me think that I can't... read more

The weather is supposed to get better this weekend, so hang in there. I know that this time of year can be tough, especially when we aren't training for a team. I have been having trouble both this year and last, so know exactly where you are coming from. Just try to hang in there and know that all your DPU tigers are still cheering you on to succeed!!!

  10. RUN
    alright 2.67 mi 00:41 15:16 pace

Humidity strikes again. Hate it. Started out thinking I could do three, but ultimately this was awful. The run turned into a walk after about 2 miles. Again, glad I made it out there, but so fr... read more

  11. RUN
    alright 1 mi 00:10:41 10:41 pace

Attempted to get some miles in after the muggy weather had cooled down a bit, but as soon as I left, a huge storm rolled in. Trying to stay positive and think that one mile is better than zero miles.

  12. RUN
good To Gallup Park and Back 13.37 mi 02:18 10:17 pace

Ah! The distance felt great, but I made the mistake of waiting until the hottest part of the day to start. I actually wanted to go 14, but by the time I got back towards the house I just couldn&#... read more

  13. RUN
alright Around ND 4.04 mi 00:42 10:30 pace

Yikes! It certainly was a warm day and I squeezed the run in before my long drive back to Ypsi. Not a great run, but glad to get the miles in. Gotta stop running when it's so warm out.

  14. RUN
    great 7 Mile Loop 7.04 mi 01:06 09:19 pace

Great day at work led to an even greater run! Found the most perfect 7 mile loop through decent trails, kept a steady pace, and my mindset was great the whole run! Feeling very confident in the w... read more

great Duo at the Ledge 5K 3.13 mi 00:25 07:58 pace

Great race this morning! Probably started a little too fast, but it felt awesome to race again. Won my age group! Feeling very confident in my training and my goals. Keep it up, chicka!

  19. RUN
good Around GL 4.04 mi 00:38 09:23 pace

Felt great - a little sore from the hill sprints yesterday, but feeling excited and ready for the race tomorrow. Shooting for a sub-30 minute 5K, which I feel like is a VERY manageable goal.

  20. RUN
good Around EMU - Hill 2.82 mi 00:30 10:47 pace

That's total time. Did a warm up, 5 x hills, and came home. Waited too long so it was too hot to really push very hard. Got the workout in, though! Happy birthday, America!
