alright Mid Week Long Run 19.01 km 01:43 08:42 pace

Another very cool morning. Always find these longer mid week runs tough when they follow a tempo or interval session. Very heavy legs this morning.

Yeah, but that's the point, the one thing I think is best about Pfitzinger's program, kind of a "hard/medium" back to back. Nice job getting it done.

Great run Adrian. As Greg said, these are the ones that make the final 10k of the marathon strong.

Crisp, still morning for running. 16km with 5 x 1km at VO2 Max pace. Theoretically aiming for sub 4:07 min/km pace. Ran the five sections in 3:50, 3:52, 3:52, 3:54, 3:55. Tough run, but happy to ge... read more

  3. RUN
    great 7.61 km 00:43 09:07 pace

Recovery run. Felt OK for this one considering the harder running days to finish off last week. Concentrated on taking it easy and keeping the heart rate down. Average HR was 134.

good 26km Hilly Long Run 27.03 km 02:19 08:16 pace

Off the flat ground and into some hills for this long run. Delayed this until late afternoon after indulging in a little too much red wine last night. Wasn't feeling fantastic to begin with bu... read more

Great work Adrian, tough to hold MP on any hilly run, red wine or not. Sounds like it was wise to wait until later in the day.

great Tempo Run 14.05 km 01:09 07:56 pace

14km with 6km at Tempo. A little apprehension going into this Tempo run after not hitting the target pace on the last one. Felt much stronger today and was in the target zone the entire time. Avera... read more

good Recovery Run. 5.93 km 00:31 08:18 pace

Recovery run mixed in with some strides. Debated abandoning this run. Terrible conditions again. Windy with sideways rain. I think I ran a little faster than planned just to warm up.

Always hard for me to envision the seasons moving the opposite direction down your way. Nice job gutting it out.

Sounds like the terrible weather may have encouraged you to speed up so you'd be done faster. Nice commitment for getting out there in those conditions!

    alright 19km id-week long runmm 19 km 01:42 08:37 pace

Tough conditions for running. Up early to fit this one in before work. I actually like running in the rain, but rain + wind = not much fun.

A big one! Amazing how hard a run can become with a shift of conditions. Can happen on race day as well, so great prep for the unexpected.

Tough to run fast early too, I'm toying with moving more of my speedwork to lunch when possible. A lot of reasons for dead legs this morning, and the workout is really about getting the effort (best represented by HR) right.
