  1. RUN
    From Home 12 mi 02:16 11:20 pace

This wasn't as easy as I felt like it should be, considering it was a fallback week. Finished though, and it helped justify the decadent Valentine's dinner we had that evening :)

  2. RUN
    From Home 5 mi 00:56 11:10 pace

Tired legs. Really felt adding that extra mile. Very glad to have a rest day tomorrow!

  3. RUN
    Campbell Track 8 mi 01:25 10:38 pace

So glad to have the garmin this week - it made the track a bit more bearable, and I learned that running in the 2nd lane of the track adds on 0.4 of a mile over 8 miles, meaning that last week I ac... read more

  4. RUN
    From Home 4 mi 00:44 11:00 pace

Nice run with Ed, even though the legs were super sore after Sunday. I'm wondering how they'll be on tomorrow's 8.

  5. RUN
Oakland Practice Run 16 mi 03:09 11:47 pace

Yay! Longest run in ages!!! 4 1/2 years at least. The Oakland hills kicked my butt (especially since they were the first 4 or so miles, so I had dead legs at mile 4 with 12 more to go), but I made ... read more

  6. RUN
    From Home 4 mi 00:44 11:03 pace

A tired but good run - beautiful sunset!

  7. RUN
    Campbell Track 8.4 mi 01:33 11:02 pace

A decent night run around the track. Probably ended up with a little over the 8 miles since I wasn't running in the closest lane. While mentally a little tough, really enjoyed not running through d... read more

  8. RUN
    From Home 4 mi 00:44 10:58 pace

Very happy with this slowish but sore run after yesterday's 14. It got a little dark, but it was nice to be out there :)

  9. RUN
    From Home 14 mi 02:41 11:29 pace

Super proud to have run 2 more miles than I planned, especially after 3 weeks of being sick. I haven't run this far in years, and am feeling back into my training. Harry Potter was a great companio... read more

  10. RUN
    From Home 2 mi 00:24 12:00 pace

First run back in 16 days (or so daily mile tells me). My legs were thrilled to be running. My lungs? Not so much. It was great having Ed run with me, and we only had to stop once for a coughing fi... read more

I have a late shift at work saturday and sunday next week if you'd like someone to come along for a few miles. I'll probably be good for 6. You can do it!

That sounds great, but I'm actually going to go run on the racecourse this weekend (I need to check out these Oakland hills). Maybe another time? How is your running going?

  11. RUN
    6 From School 6.04 mi 01:09 11:27 pace

Good run - longest after work run this school year. Ran down a major street (to have more light), which was good, but meant lots of long light stops. One mile was around 14:30 because of a very ver... read more

  12. RUN
    Jenny's House 3 mi 00:32 10:32 pace

Very tired to start, but was in such a better mood afterwards. The run really flew by; I'm happy to be in the stage of my training where 3 miles is feeling short(er).

  13. RUN
    From Home 12 mi 02:12 11:01 pace

This was a painful run that I am very happy to have accomplished! My legs have been sore all week, so it wasn't entirely surprising that I had a tired run. Thankfully, my friend Jenny joined me for... read more

Good job finishing a longer run! I can't do 15 but I can run a few miles at the beginning or end with you in a few weeks.

It's been better. I am trying to find a good pair of shoes to go with my new orthotics. My regular shoes have been giving me IT band problems. I think the combination is over supportive. But I have been trying LOTS of new shoes. I'm going to be joining the SF training group at the end of the month. I'm excited for a better, more serious, training schedule.

hey girl, glad to see you are getting back into distance! nice work! you are so cute "nervous" about your upcoming long runs. Anytime anything seems long, just think about that 50 miler you did! You rock!

  14. RUN
    From Home 3 mi 00:33 11:00 pace

My legs continue to be lazy this week - maybe the transition back to work and being on my feet all day is making the runs harder? Not so sure about the 12 miler this weekend.

  15. RUN
    From School 5 mi 00:56 11:08 pace

    Slow, tired run.

  16. RUN
    From Home 3 mi 00:32 10:46 pace

Nice recovery run - purposefully kept the pace easy and pretty consistent.

  17. RUN
From Los Gatos High School 7 mi 01:16 10:50 pace

As my "fallback" run, I thought this would be easy, but my legs were a bit lead filled. Perhaps my stretch/strength DVD yesterday is part to blame, as Ed claims it makes his legs feel hea... read more

  18. RUN
    From Home :) 3 mi 00:32 10:36 pace

Wow...my legs were so dead starting the run today. I could barely muster an 11:50 pace for the first half mile. Eventually I got into it a bit more, with 11:00, 10:31, and 10:15 miles, respectively... read more

  19. RUN
Cambria Ranch (loops) 5 mi 00:50 09:55 pace

Great run (though so much for taking it easy...). Super happy to be seeing sub 10 min/mile pace, with an 8:56 last mile :). Looking forward to running at home tomorrow! (though I will miss runs wit... read more
