jump back in as soon as possible. Falling off the fitness wagon has always been my downfall. This time around I'm determined to stay fit.

Just do it... if you keep putting it off it gets easier and easier to not do a thing.

Adam - I know this will sound silly, but try some guided meditation. Very calming and uplifting and good for your spirit. I like Andrew Weill the best - just search for him on youtube.

Good for you for trying to find a positive spot in the situation. I lost my motivation about a week ago and have been struggling to get it back, and haven't been doing what I should. Not looking forward to my next weigh in. Take things gradually and you will be back out there soon.

Bummer! My first half marathon was advertised as flat and DOWNHILL but when we got there it was almost all up hill for the first 3 miles....So I understand that frustration. What about finding another race at some point but before registering check out the course?? If not, even just running to stay fit is a great plan! Hope your back feels better soon!

Under 8:00 is a leisurely run for you? Man, I'm slow! LOL. Way to give the legs a little shake out though. I've been loving running a slow mile on my "rest" days. I think I've been running better overall since I started doing it.

Honestly, I think it was more about the extra sights and sounds, not to mention only one lap compared to the 2 or 3 I normally do that got me running a bit faster. But it was comfortable. Wasn't even tired after the run.
