great Lunch Run 6 mi 00:46 07:38 pace

Easy breezy along the Prairie Path at lunch today - pretty lonely out there, barely saw anyone else and no other runners. Felt great and wish I had the time to go farther.

  2. RUN
good Lunch Miles 5 mi 00:39 07:47 pace

A little bit sore from yesterday, but not bad at all. Nearly perfect out there.

You did knock it out yesterday. Good to spin out the legs on an easy run today.

    great 8 x 800m 9 mi 01:04 07:03 pace

8 x 800s on the Glenbard West track at lunch today. I would have done 10 but didn't have the time. Great temps out there for speedwork and actually, the breeze wasn't that bad because it ... read more

  5. RUN
    good Warm 5 5 mi 00:38 07:36 pace

I was appreciating how mild of a summer we've had - to think this is only the 3rd or 4th day reaching the 90s, that's not bad at all. Definitely felt the heat today, but had my water with... read more

    great 10 mi 01:16 07:37 pace

I kinda just wanted to know how my achilles would react, so I pushed it a bit today. I didn't push the speed, but I went longer than caution would have recommended. I'm happy to say I had... read more

    great Easy 5 5 mi 00:40 07:57 pace

No pain or discomfort in the Achilles today which was a great relief. Took it very easy and interspersed some walking throughout the run, just to make sure I wasn't pushing my luck. Decided to... read more

Well it doesn't sound too bad. Go easy like you say for a couple days. I'm sure it's just related to tight calf or something like that pulling on it.

Thank you Adam - that's awesome. I'm going to have a week of paying it serious attention and see if I can improve things. It's worst during speedy stuff, but I can still get away with it during easy runs. Would love to fix it before it gets worse. Hope you have success too. :)
