Adam, don't know how we could do what we do without the support of our families!! Our whole family races together and has for many years. We may not be able to train together because of proximity, but we check in often. We will be racing IM Cozumel together Dec 1!

So important to have the support, especially from a spouse. They have to do the work around the house and with kids while you run/train. If they're not supportive, it can drive a huge wedge over time with resentment and frustration. I'm glad you have that supportive system!

Well I'm not a total ditz! That's what I thought cadence referred to, but I just wanted to check to be sure.

Teri the interesting thing is that the initial reason I started upping my cadence was to do hills faster. And my rationale was that if the greatest hill climbers on bicycles used a high cadence and low gear then maybe the same idea would work in running. Then after that I learned it was a good idea in general to have a high cadence so I worked hard to adapt it to flats and downhills too.
