Thought this was a little ambitious given I just started running again, but since I have no car to go to the gym, this was my only option. I'm pretty surprised at how well I did on it considering t... read more

swim
good 1000 m
Made it to 40 laps. Now need to increase speed. Arms did me in this time, not the breathing.

RUN
good Gram's big loop 3.37 mi 00:29 08:41 pace
Timed this one with a stopwatch and came to the conclusion that my times for previous runs were all off by a minute (to the bad). Went back to adjust those.
Was happy with this one. Felt a lot fas... read more

FIT
good 01:00
Spinning in a room almost as hot as the sauna. Is this the equivalent of exercise multi-tasking?

Been there, done that, and if not at least you get extra points for it. In my book, anyway. :)

RUN
good Gram's big loop 3.37 mi 00:30 08:53 pace
Glad I was able to break 29mins on this run. Need to find another route - this one's getting boring.

RUN
good Gram's big loop 3.37 mi 00:30 08:56 pace
A lot hotter than last time (>80) with a decent amount of humidity. Really struggled to get this done.

swim
good 800 m 00:32 64:22 pace
Still need to get the breathing figured out. That, and how to not get water into my nose when I'm inhaling.

RUN
good Gram's big loop 3.37 mi 00:30 08:59 pace
Really felt a lot faster this time. Ran up all hills, even though some were tough. Steady, light rain may have helped on this. I definitely feel that my equipment is not really helping me.

Thanks.
I think I had two things working for me. First, the rain which made it cooler. Second, I tried to increase my stride as much as possible. Need to take advantage of my longer legs.

Yeah, for me running in the rain is the best. Unless the shoes get completely waterlogged.

It was probably the perfect kind of rain. Light and steady. Not enough to get down into my shoes.

swim
alright 750 m
A lot better this time. Breathing was not the problem this time, just tired arms. Did at least 2 laps at a time between breaks.

RUN
good Gram's big loop 3.37 mi 00:33 09:47 pace
Longest outside run. Lots of hills. Only had to walk a little.
-
RUN
good 3.15 mi 00:28 09:00 pace
Tried to work on breathing, but hard to focus at the gym.
-
RUN
good 2.81 mi 00:28 09:57 pace
Back to the comfort of the gym.
-
swim
alright 550 m 00:25 73:09 pace
Still working up endurance to do more than two laps without a break.

RUN
alright Grandma's Loop 2.84 mi
First run outside. Hot, windy, hilly. Not like the treadmill in the air conditioned gym

When did you pick running back up?

Tuesday.
Was focusing on weights for a while, then tried P90X until all the pushups wrecked my wrist.
