  1. RUN
    alright Out & Back 4 mi 00:38 09:36 pace

Legs trashed from yesterday's speed work. Felt like lead weights below the waist! Pace was pretty consistent in spite of everything. Sunny, 79 degrees and windy so it wasn't all bad.

  2. RUN
    great 400's 3.3 mi 00:30 09:08 pace

Official start to the 5k training. Punished myself with 400's to start the speed work on the treadmill. Each 400 under 2 minutes; 1 minute walk break in between each. Did last couple of sets i... read more

  3. RUN
great Recovery Run 3.15 mi 00:29 09:12 pace

First run since last weekends 35.5 miles of races. Sadly I had to do this one indoors due to thunder storms outside. Wanted to run slower, but the body wanted to go a tad faster than my desire to g... read more

  4. Shared Photo

3 races, 3 medals with a plaque to hold them.

  5. RUN
good Flying Pig Marathon 26.2 mi 04:40 10:42 pace

Finished the 4-way challenge by completing the Flying Pig. Nice day for a run. Enjoyed the race start to finish.

  6. RUN
    great Flying Pig 5k 3.1 mi 00:26 08:29 pace

Another great race. PR'd with a 26:20! Could have been better, but walkers were deep and wide - didn't really find a stride until half way through. Looked the result!

  7. RUN
    great Flying Pig 10k 6.2 mi 01:00 09:38 pace

Pace felt slow, nice actually. Great morning for a run. Cool, slight overcast and a mild breeze. Loved the course.

  8. VELO
great Ride along 3 mi 00:29 6.2mph pace

Rode along with oldest daughter as she ran 3. Nice, quiet, peaceful and not a run this close to races!

  9. RUN
great Race week run 3 3.04 mi 00:27 08:46 pace

Waiting for middle school drama club to end, so rather than just wait in a parking lot I decided to take a final race week run. Short and sweet. 85 and sunny, so the sweat is pouring!

  10. RUN
good Race week run 2 5 mi 00:47 09:28 pace

Tried to keep it slower than normal and felt like a 10:20 pace, but the time doesn't lie. Felt good start to finish. Can't wait for this weekend! 5k, 10k and full marathon - Flying Pig, h... read more

So 4 medals for you this weekend! I like their anniversary celebration plans. My girls and I are doing the 5k. Good luck on all 3 races.

  11. RUN
good Race week run 1 6.9 mi 01:03 09:07 pace

Was such a great afternoon I decided to do a nice 7 mile loop. Didn't seem like I was keeping the pace, but was happy to know it was pretty even from start to finish.

  12. Made a wager with my oldest son. In an effort to get his grades at a more acceptable place, I offered him a race. With a 5k coming in June, I told him if his grades were better and he could beat me... read more

My fear is that I'll loose! I know he hasn't been running much lately, but he is still faster than me after very little training. Just means I'll have to train harder.

  13. RUN
good Antioch Road 6.6 mi 01:04 09:37 pace

Started out to do 5, but felt pretty good so I kept going. Nice day for a run; 70 degrees, sunny and a light breeze! Saw lots of wild rabbits along the route too.

  14. RUN
    good Out & Back 4 mi 00:37 09:11 pace

I forgot what it was like to run in the heat! 83 degrees and sunny, but super windy. Enjoyed the run in spite of the heat.

  15. RUN
good Out of Shape 3 mi 00:32 10:30 pace

Took the oldest out for a short run since he hasn't been out in a while. Wowsers is he out of shape. Have to get him in decent shape before June when cross country conditioning runs begin an... read more

That is great! How old is your son? I can't wait for mine to get a little bigger so they can be my running buddies for longer than 1 mile!

  16. RUN
    good 5.06 mi 00:47 09:11 pace

Great run. Tried to keep the pace slow, around 9:45, but in spite of my attempts to run slower, I kept going faster. Slight overcast and 70 degrees made for a gorgeous 5 mile run.

  17. RUN
alright Medium distance 7.05 mi 01:11 10:04 pace

Wanted to go further, but the legs, hands and face got so cold I couldn't feel them. Bagged a little earyl.

  18. RUN
    good Treadmill 3 mi 00:28 09:10 pace

Not much to say here, treadmill, blah.

  19. RUN
good East Fork Dam area 15.75 mi 02:45 10:28 pace

Had other obligations this morning, so today's long run was this evening. Great day for a run too! 70 degrees at the start with a nice breeze, 63 when I finished. Had a couple nice encounters ... read more

  20. RUN
blah Another bail 4.05 mi 00:39 09:42 pace

1.5 into a 5 miler and side cramps set in. They persisted, so I headed back to the house. Really want decent runs, but the body is not cooperating. Beautiful day though, 50 degrees and sunny!
