Aaron K. ok i have been gone a...

Track and share your training!

Dailymile makes it easy to keep track of your workouts. Map your routes and share with a community of active people.

Ok I have been gone a while. Injured for the most part, busy with life and haven't really been all that active for much posting. Did do a three mile run on my wedding day (4/17) but as it turns out I have a tibial stress fracture.

At least that is what the doctor says :(

So no impact workouts for me for about two months. Seriously no running. I have been going insane without running in the last month already. Can't fathom another two months without it. Then to top it off he says that after the time is up the rehab will be like watching paint dry. I am not a person that likes to wait around so one can only imagine how this is going to feel.

Biking and swimming. That is what is left for me. Well I can't swim so I might want to get used to the bike. Oh I don't have a bike. Maybe I will change that today.

That does not sound like fun Aaron! Hopefully the bike situation will change for you! Heal up and you will come back stronger!

Hang in there, Aaron. I've been without running for almost 2 months already because I was sick and now because of IT Band. I've been cycling a lot instead (and I love it!) but never got to the pool for pool running. I'm not sure how impacting it is, but can you do elliptical instead?
Best of luck on your recovery!!

That sucks so much! With my calf injury I have been biking a lot - and it has really kept me sane. SO, I think you should get a bike, the cross-training will help you avoid injury later too. Good luck

Ugh..I'm so sorry to hear about the stress fracture, but listen to your doctor......and yes maybe you getting a bike in the meantime isn't such a bad idea.... GOOD LUCK!

    No elliptical either :(

Got a bike though. Will be posting workouts on it. Should be interesting. It is a lot different than good old running.

At least you can cycle, and that helps! Good luck and let me know if you would like to meet and go cycling sometime!

Glad you're on the mend. 2 months isn't that long a period in the long run. It took me 15 months to get back to even after busting up my ankle and I regret not finding other activities to stay active while healing; please don't make that mistake. Stay in the game; 2 months is nothing.
