Did a nice 4:1 run/walk. My legs are pretty tired after yesterday's 5 mile run. I'm slowly building my base after 2 months off.

I understand... I haven't run in 4-5 weeks...doing yoga, weights and walking 1-3 miles, and PT work to strengthen my quads. I have "jumper's knee." This is great running weather...grrrrrr! Hang in there...try to find something else you also love to do in the mean time. This shall pass. :)

Thanks everyone! You never really know how valuable and essential body parts are until they are rendered useless...I mean there just isn't much I can do without my aggravating my knee. No swimming, no biking, no walking, no elliptical, no yoga...upper body weights is about it. I need to sweat people... =)

Very happy to get it done!!! Thanks guys!!!
And YES! It did feel faster than that, at times. I know I stopped the garmin at the gate but I think I think I left it going when I got water. but really we pretty much ran the whole thing. And no tripping or falling to blame it on this time either.over 1 year ago • Like

Have you gotten a room for OBX yet??

That would be amazing! David's gma will watch him for those dates. I don't think he'd enjoy the drive over there anyway lol. And I would be more than happy to split costs for the room! Annnnd it would be so nice to be with peeps who already know about this marathon business because I've never run an event this big! Let me know for sure!
