  1. RUN
good North columbus 4.29 mi 00:41 09:33 pace

Nice run this morning. It is always good to be back in Columbus, to see old friends and relive some good running memories. It was good to see Mike Edwards at his store last night. It is always e... read more

  2. RUN
good Steele City Limits 6.2 mi

Happy New Year run to zap a zero and get this year started on the right foot (and left). I did the first 1.6 with my puppy through the woods then the rest out on the highway. It was cold and damp... read more

  3. RUN
good Pine Lane Farm 6.05 mi

I felt pretty good for the first half of the run and was pooped in the second half. My conditioning definitely needs to be built back. It's amazing how quickly it goes away.

  4. RUN
good Frost Hollow Road 3.29 mi

Cold run this morning but skies are clear and it should be a beautiful day.

  5. RUN
good Steele and Back 4.89 mi

Nice run for a blustery Sunday morning. Heels felt better but it's typically a day-by-day journey.

  6. RUN
alright Pine Lane Farm 6.05 mi 00:58 09:35 pace

I'm sitting here with my left heel on ice wishing it didn't hurt so badly when I ran. I managed to cover 6 miles this chilly morning. Boy, legs are tired now.

  7. RUN
    good Steele 3.78 mi

Feeling better every day. There is a definite tightness in my calves as I try to maintain mid foot striking posture. The Newtons are helping with this.

    • Bamarunner

that's good news with the Newtons. Nice consistent miles Andy, that's great

  8. RUN
    good Daphne, AL 3.48 mi

Nice run in Daphne. I came down to visit my brother and replace the clutch in my aging car. Weather is very mild, actually a little muggy.

  9. RUN
good Double Bridge Road Ashville, AL 4.78 mi

Chilly in the low areas. Beautiful morning.

  10. RUN
    good Columbus, GA 3.01 mi

Great running weather, though a little windy. Heels felt so much better.

  11. RUN
    alright Steele 3.78 mi

Another mild morning. Not a bad run considering the long layoff. I am still trying to get used to these Newton shoes. I am not convinced they are the way to go but as bad as my heels have been f... read more

  12. RUN
    blah Steele, AL 2.28 mi

It is hard to even make this journal entry. I look back at the past workouts and all the mileage I've logged and it makes me sad to see the shape I'm in. Dealing with persistent heel pa... read more

  13. RUN
    Steele Tempo 8.3 mi

Cooler, very humid. The gnats were suffocating on the way out but were better on the return trip. Those suckers bite!

  14. RUN
good Tour De Steele 18.02 mi 03:00 09:59 pace

Long, slow distance. That is all I have to say about that. Except for the fact this was definitely the most humid run of the season. Great breeze on the way back was a life saver, though.

  15. RUN
good Day 21 Tempo Run 8.21 mi

15 minute warmup, 30 minutes at MP and 15 cool down. At least that was the plan and obviously I ran for longer time because I did not average 7:20. I probably ran for more like 70 minutes.
