Guys! I need help... I want to start seriously strength training but I'm kind of lost on how to start. I mostly just want to tone up a bit and develop core strength to ward off injury. Any tips for creating a plan or favorite strength workouts?

sounds like a question for Kristen F.

Usually to tone up, you'll do fast and light weights, sometimes with more reps. The point is to burn a higher rate of fat instead of micro-tearing the muscle, which would cause muscle mass increase (bulking up).

@Crystal - Wow, good stuff! I'm impressed! Hopefully one day I'll get to your awesome level of awesome.

@Vern I love the idea of weights M W F and core T/Th ... What do you do on weekends?
@Tony great advice! Functional lifts sound like a winner if they improve core strength and balance.
