  • So far I'm just doing the Shamrock 8k. I get bored or burnt out if I stick with one sport too long so I may do another 5k later in the year but right now I'm more interested in weight lifting and high intensity (Crossfit) so I will be pursuing that.

  • Steve that is great. It sounds like you have a busy month of January. I'm in the same boat, I love signing up for races. It's great running with hundreds or even thousands of other runners. Cayman Islands Marathon definately sounds awesome. It looks like it a great way to check out the island and add in a little vacation.

I only have the AZ Rock and Roll marathon 1/18 and a local 5k 3/8 planned so far but I plan on adding in a lot more races as the weather gets nicer.

  • We went to Grand Cayman in November for a few days (found a little 2 mile race to run of course!) & decided we'd like to go back in '09 to run the marathon (my wife's going to run the Half)

Something to look forward to anyway...

  • Looks like a full schedule Steve. I love racing too, but on occasion, I do like that sleeping in once in awhile.

I recently returned to running after 20 years of volleyball. Bad part is it left me with two back surgeries, and that is another reason I don't race a lot. The HM I like a lot and did the RnR in VB last year as my very first one. I also did the Maymont in Sep. The Fleetweek in Norfolk, and Philly in Nov.

I am signed up for the 8 miler on V-Day, Colonial HM in Williamsburg and the Shamrock Marathon. That will be my first one. I don't schedule any further than that because I don't know how I will feel.

Impressive PR's Steve. How did you hit all of them so recently? What's your secret?
