I'd love to have a DM meet-up. Not sure if there's a "sponsored" dinner the night before or not, but maybe we could get together for dinner the night before? Or, try to meet up for lunch after? I've never done this before, so I don't know how people usually feel. Am I going to want a bed (hospital or otherwise) immediately after the marathon? Am I going to want to strap on the feed bag? Anybody been through this before have thoughts on when/where/what would make sense? The only bit I could offer is that I am *out* for a "morning of, before the race" meet. I'm worried about getting up in time to make the start.

I would love to do a DM meet up. Dinner night before or lunch after sounds great.

I'm not going to the dinner the night before...we figured we would hang out at the hotel and let the kiddies go swimming and stuff instead! :) I know they are having brats and stuff afterwards...some of us could meet up then?

OK all... just 3 days away now. I'm assuming everyone else is experiencing the same nervous excitement that I am about this Saturday... not to mention the (seemingly) constantly-changing forecast.
I'm not sure what the best plan is for meeting up, but if anyone familiar with the course (or the area) can offer a suggestion for people running (or planning to stick around for the end of) the full marathon?
For lack of a better plan (and not being familiar with the area), this is all I can come up with:
My wife will be there, along with a cooler of beer. If you see someone waiting near the finish line with a cooler in tow, ask if her name is Kelley. If so, you've probably found my wife. I think Mike's wife (Kay) and Amy might be with her as well. If so, we've got the start of a meet up!
Please feel free to offer better suggestions than this.

Thanks to Dan Wilde (@dwilde) for coming up with what should be a great meeting place (provided it's not too crowded):
Edit: The meeting spot changed by a bit, in an effort to try and avoid crowds right at the finish line. The link above has been changed to reflect this.

For the coffee shop crowd, Common Grounds could make a decent meetup/spectator spot. It's just north of the memorial at the bend in the harbor on 6th Ave. Not a god-aweful walk from the start/finish: http://www.yelp.com/biz/harborside-common-grounds-kenosha My daughter and I watched my wife run the Half from there last year.
Good luck, runners! I'd be there if I wasn't elsewhere. ;)

I think thats a great spot Marty! I'm not sure how long i'm going to be there once I get finished...depends on how the kiddies are doing! Would any of the half runners like to meet up at the same location after the half??

That meeting spot looks great Marty. Hope to finally meet more DMers. Samantha I am doing the half - goal is to finish in 2 hours but we will see if that happens. Hope to meet you there.
