Do you have prayer needs regarding your running?

Are you dealing with an injury, condition, etc., that interferes with your running/workouts? Leave a prayer request here so we can pray for you. I have seen the Lord answer prayer about chronic IT band syndrome in my right leg--it hardly bothers me!!

Let's support each other in prayer!! :>}

    Somehow I got some bad lower back muscles spasms that in turn are putting pressure on my sciatica. I had to go to the hospital because I couldn't walk or even bend over to put on my shoes. Now I have muscles relaxers and is feeling a little better. Hopefully I'll be running again by next weekend.

    Great idea!! For the past few years I have had a series of injuries, but I had a really good year in 2009, so praise God for that! This week I am feeling better from some end of year muscle injuries so praise Him for that also!

    I would like prayer for a friend Wayne who had a really discouraging race last weekend and needs to be encouraged and strenthened. Thanks.

    I have a friend Carol who had a detached retina (not from running) and is unable to run for 3 months. Please pray for her recoverey and patience with the process.

    I am running my first marathon in May here in Madison WI and I would like prayer for strength and injury free training. So far it has gone well with just minor aches and pains! Praise God for that! I've also fallen on ice four times this winter without getting hurt! That is amazing! Thanks for starting this group and God Bless!

    I will keep you in prayer!! We don't get ice here in Morgan Hill, just south of San Jose--LOL!! Our weather makes training easier. I grew up in Anchorage, AK, and I do miss the snow. I DON'T miss driving in ice and snow, though.

    I will put your marathon on my prayer calendar. The Lord watches over us in all that we do!! :>}

    I have a prayer request: My husband, Mike, would like to attend my son's races, but he works 2 PM to midnight, Friday through Sunday. Getting up for early Saturday and Sunday morning events is VERY difficult!! And it's important for him to be well rested when he goes to work. (He's a deputy sheriff.) He had hoped to get weekends off this year, but some people with more seniority transferred to his unit and took those spots. He's discouraged about all of this. I encouraged him that even though he might not be able to make it to Jacob's races, that he could talk to him about how his training is going and what his goals are for each race, and he could pray for him. Mike talked to Jacob and let him know how discouraged he was.

    The children and I are running the Wildflower Run 5K on Sunday. Depending on who shows up, Jacob may finish in the top five!! Mike is hoping to be able to get himself up and get there. It starts at 9:15 AM, only about 3 miles from our house. Mike usually gets up at 9 AM.

    SOOOOOO . . . please pray that Mike will be able to make it to the race on Sunday. Pray that he does NOT have any last minute calls or arrests on Saturday night. Pray that the Lord would bless his sleep, and that he would feel well rested at work on Sunday. And pray for Mike to be encouraged, that even if he can't make it to Jacob's race, he can still support him in his athletics. I will let you know how things go. THANKS, and be BLESSED!!! :>}
